The BR-1 bag rider for classic rifle stock rifles is designed to solve a problem traditional stocks have always struggled with. While modern chassis systems naturally manage recoil, classic hunting stocks often do not. Because of this, ACCU Long Range developed the BR-1 specifically for traditional rifle designs.
Rather than adding bulk or weight, the BR-1 reshapes the rear interface of the stock. As a result, the rifle tracks in a straight, predictable line during recoil. This improves stability whether you are shooting from prone, off a pack, or from a supported field position.
Built for recoil control, not just support
When recoil overcomes your shooting position, accuracy drops quickly. However, when the rifle moves in a smooth and repeatable path, consistency improves. For this reason, the BR-1 focuses on controlling rearward movement instead of simply resting on the bag.
By guiding the rifle along a linear recoil path that matches the bullet’s trajectory, the BR-1 helps reduce vertical stringing. Consequently, follow-through improves and corrections between shots become more predictable.
Lightweight design for hunting and field use
To maintain strength without unnecessary weight, the BR-1 is manufactured using advanced FDM 3D printing. This allows for an internal geometric structure that is rigid yet extremely light. As a result, the bag rider weighs just 78 grams and does not upset the balance of a hunting rifle.
In addition, the low-profile black finish blends naturally with synthetic and wooden stocks alike. At the same time, it pairs cleanly with modern black optics and hardware.
Simple installation with sling compatibility
The BR-1 installs directly onto the rear sling stud, making setup quick and straightforward. Importantly, no permanent modifications are required.
Furthermore, an integrated secondary sling stud allows continued use of a rifle sling. Because of this, the BR-1 remains practical for hunters who carry their rifle in the field. This same design philosophy is carried across our sling-stud mounting systems and precision accessories.

Why use a bag rider on a classic stock?
During recoil, accuracy is lost when the rifle moves inconsistently. Therefore, maintaining a straight and repeatable recoil path is critical for precision shooting.
However, classic stocks are not naturally shaped parallel with the bore. Because of their shape, achieving linear recoil has always been difficult. The BR-1 overcomes this limitation by reshaping the rear contact point. As a result, the rifle tracks smoothly along the rear bag, giving the shooter greater control and consistency.

FAQs
Does this fit all classic rifle stocks?
The BR-1 fits most traditional hunting and sporting stocks. Rubber shims are included to help fine-tune the fit. If you have a non-standard or heavily contoured stock, contact us for confirmation.
Will I still be able to use a sling?
Yes. The BR-1 includes an additional sling stud, so your sling can remain attached after installation.
Is this suitable for hunting rifles?
